X-aminations in June 2015


I'm still hammering out the schedule for the rest of the year, so I'll post that with the July schedule next month.   1. Just reaching near the point where I began to read American comics regularly so I cant wait. I even still have fond memories of Day of Future Present so very interested in those posts in particuliar.

  2. I was disappointed to find, upon a midday’s Googling, that Mignola doing the cover you display did not mean he’d done covers for the constituent issues of the crossover. Any undiscovered Mignola is a treat for me, even from back in the early days when he wasn’t so hot on his own work. Still, I wish he’d taken into account what it would look like when colored and broken up the blue characters; likewise, the colorist could have gone with something other than a pea-green background that fails to let the yellow pop for some much-needed relief.

    I think I've only read that story once, at most, so I'm excited to revisit it as well.

    Yeah, I believe he just did the cover for that particularly trade collection (which is long out of print).
