The Milch Studies by G. Kendall

I am pleased to announce that starting tomorrow, Not Blog X and Comics Should Be Good's G. Kendall will be writing a new series right here at Gentlemen of Leisure, titled "The Milch Studies", an examination of the work of TV impresario David Milch. I won't go into much detail about the nature of the project, so as not to step on his toes, but instead, simply offer a hearty "welcome aboard!" to a writer whose work I've long admired (and whose X-Men posts on Not Blog X served as one of the inspirations for my own X-aminations series).

So please join me in welcoming G. Kendall, and be sure to check out his first post tomorrow!

  1. I noticed G.'s name on your "contributors" list on Friday, and I was wondering what that was about. Cool!

Judging by the picture, I'll assume David Milch was involved with NYPD BLUE. I had no idea! All I know him for is his HBO stuff. Since I really know nothing about the rest of his body of work, I'll look forward to reading this.

  2. Curses!

Some weeks back I was prolongedly on the verge of making a male posterior nudity quip with explicit NYPD Blue reference when a comment by Matt brought up the Episode I soundtrack and "Qui-Gon's Noble End", but I chose not to, what with being, pah, and adult and stuff.

Let everyone be reminded that we will much more repent things that we left undone.

    1. "Qui-Gon's Noble End"

Nothing to do with a glowing green tip surely.

  3. I'm looking forward to it. You might wanna change "two guys" back to "three guys" in your logline, by the way...

    1. You know, I was tempted to make a joke about how I'm going to leave it as "two" in acknowledgement of Dr. Bitz's long absence from writing, but he'd never see this anyway. So I will just change it to three. :)

Comment. Please. Love it? Hate it? Am mildly indifferent to it? Let us know!
