X-aminations in November 2017

November brings us to "Fatal Attractions" big moment in X-Men #25, after which I've shuffled things around a bit as Thanksgiving and the December holidays loom, with reviews going (mostly) one per week for the rest of the year, as much to help me get back on a regular schedule as for the holidays (though the holidays certainly don't help in that regard either).

On Sale August 1993
November 1:  Uncanny X-Men #305
November 2: X-Factor #95
November 3: Wolverine #74

November 8: X-Men (vol. 2) #25
November 9: X-Force #27
November 10: Excalibur #70

November 15: X-Men Annual #2

November 22: X-Force Annual #2

On Sale September 1993
November 29: Uncanny X-Men #306
November 30:  X-Factor #96
December 1: Wolverine #75

  1. I've decided I'm going to try to start actually reading along with at least the X-MEN and UNCANNY X-MEN stuff. I have all this material in trade paperbacks and hardcovers (not to mention Marvel Unlimited) and I've been planning (for years now) to dig into all of it in order, in those formats, for a giant 90s-X-re-read-a-thon -- but it just hasn't happened. So, why not just try to do it while following your reviews?

(Only difference is, I'll be going in the order the books reprint the stuff -- which is optimal reading order rather than by release date -- so I guess there will be points where I'm ahead of you now and then. That shouldn't be too big of a deal for me to keep straight, though.)

So I read UNCANNY 305 last night in the FATAL ATTRACTIONS collection. Hopefully I'll be able to keep this up and not drop the ball like I did reading along with "Force in Focus". It's really hard to balance reading stuff for my own reviews and reading for pleasure on top of keeping up with TV shows -- not to mention my obvious family responsibilities and work!

Pfft, please, that's no big deal. I've dropped the ball on *writing* "Force in Focus" posts of late (I actually have a couple done, but I want to build up a backstop before I start publishing again, just to prevent these kinds of delays).

Preaching to the choir. That's my life (with some other crap thrown in) in a nutshell.

  2. Just FYI, Teebore: Your dedicated X-aminations page’s “What’s Coming Up” link goes to a post on the latter half of 2015, although the introductory text is current on what series you’re reviewing.

    1. Yeah, I went in and updated the series about a month ago, but decided to hold off on updating the "coming up" link since my second half of 2017 schedule has already been heavily-modified. So once I've published my "January 2018 and Beyond" schedule, I'll link to it then (assuming I remember...).

    2. Gotcha. I've been letting my own blog(s) lie fallow for similar reasons — or so I tell myself. Nobody knows about all the work going on behind the scenes, though, and indeed if it never sees the light of day it doesn't really count except insofar as its impact on whatever else that energy could've been spent on. 8^(

    3. That last sentence is directed entirely at myself, I hasten to add.
