Plot

Inside the cave where she first gained her powers, Ms. Marvel is attacked by the reprogrammed Doomsday Man. Meanwhile, Professor Korman has escaped from AIM and is on the scene, looking for Kree technology. As David & Salia set out in search of the missing Carol Danvers, Ms. Marvel remembers meeting the creator of the Doomsday Man and, using her heightened senses, is able to locate a failsafe inside it which deactivates the robot. Just then, Korman finds the power core of the Kree Psyche-Magnetron. Opening it, he's rendered blind by the vast energy insides. Firing in a wild panic, he triggers a cave-in. Later, David & Salia pull the unconscious Carol out from rubble near the cave-in. Three days later, Carol returns to New York, her story about Salia in hand. Entering her office, she gets a call from Michael Barnett, telling her he needs to speak to her about Ms. Marvel.
