Editor-in-Chief: Archie Goodwin

Plot
Ms. Marvel revives from the blow struck by Korman, but before she can capture him, AIM arrives, and endangers enough civilians that Ms. Marvel is too busy saving them to stop AIM from leaving with Korman. Shortly thereafter, she changes back to Carol Danvers. Carol returns to her offices at the Daily Bugle, and learns about an upcoming space launch involving a female astronaut. Thinking it a good story for her magazine, she gets J. Jonah Jameson to agree to let her cover it, then sets out for Florida. Meanwhile, AIM uses a "psycho-conditioner" to break the will of Korman as punishment for his failure to capture Ms. Marvel, then launches a rocket containing Doomsday Man to Cape Canaveral, with the intention of sabotaging the upcoming NASA launch. When Carol Danvers, touring the NASA launch site, senses the incoming AIM rocket, she transforms into Ms. Marvel and flies into the atmosphere to intercept. She manages to disable the rocket, but then Doomsday Man emerges and the pair fight, eventually falling off the rocket and crashing to Earth. Ms. Marvel lands near the spot where Carol Danvers was hit by the Kree psyche-magnetron, which jogs her memory and makes her realize she and Danvers are one and the same. Elsewhere, the Doomsday Man, who also survived the crash, receives new directives: destroy Ms. Marvel.
