With her roommate Misty Knight away for the weekend, Jean Grey prepares for a holiday date with Cyclops. However, their evening is interrupted by an attack by the Sentinels, who blast off into the sky with their captive X-Men.

"There's a series of clues throughout the story that Jean intends to sleep with Cyclops (presumably for the first time) as the culmination of their date. The first is a note from Misty, telling Jean to "go for broke"."
ReplyDeleteFrom what I could tell from a more "innocent" sexual time in the US, Jean was saving herself for Slim. We know the butte is where her and Cyclops got together when she was the Phoenix, but we've never seen her intimate with him before then. The Grand Design series by Ed Piskor showed that Jean was sleeping with the college boyfriend. I believe he was only briefly mentioned in the books and there hadn't been any previous mention of them having sex. Maybe it's just me, but I always found it much more romantic if it was both Jean and Scott's firsts.
