If there is one thing everybody universally loves, it's nazis getting their ass kicked.
So a movie about Captain America putting the beat down on Nazi Germany is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
A movie about Ant Man putting the beat down on his wife on the other hand...well...I'm not so sure about.Dr. Bitzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13568570859981368717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-49849533791925366132008-05-25T16:57:00.000-05:002008-05-25T16:57:00.000-05:00I think having a Cap movie set during WWII could b...I think having a Cap movie set during WWII could be pretty cool, especially if they end it with him getting "frozen" somehow so he could be thawed in the Avengers movie.

I've also heard they plan on casting an unknown as Thor, which is probably the best way to go. Thor, I think, is the most likely to go awry, simply because the premise is goofy enough that it'll be easy to misstep. But done right, it could also be pretty awesome.

I believe they have a script for a Magneto movie and are doing casting. I'm not sure how that's going to work out either. It sounds good enough on paper, but then you think about it...a Magneto movie? What's that going to be about?Austin Gortonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14281239771248780430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-23756816730383407832008-05-25T13:32:00.000-05:002008-05-25T13:32:00.000-05:00A couple of things to add for you. One being that ...A couple of things to add for you. One being that there is an Ant Man movie also in the works. Not sure who thought that would be a good idea but he could also be in the upcoming line up for an Avengers movie.

Also they just announced that Captain America is going to take place during WW2. This should be pretty cool I think and offer up a different type of super hero movie than we have seen so far. However it also has the potential to be horribly bad. It will leave a nice little segue way into the Avengers movie when he gets frozen in ice at the end of it though.

Also supposedly Thor is going to be cast as an unknown actor. Probably a good thing I think. For one I can't really think of anybody who could do the role justice out there now so an unknown might be a good fit. Also it solves the problem of having to big a star for the Avengers movie. Get the actor to sign a contract for the two movies at once and you get a nice bargain.

Weren't they supposed to do a Magneto solo movie also at one point? That is probably going to be put on the back burner for now with all these other plans and also to see how the Wolverine solo flick does.Phantomashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05551460006238624083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-1753046160649224122008-05-23T11:16:00.000-05:002008-05-23T11:16:00.000-05:00No, Teebore is the one who is a doosh!Yeah i agree...No, Teebore is the one who is a doosh!

Yeah i agree, but i'll still be seeing them all opening weekend.

Hey, maybe after DC cleans it's girly panties they can get off their asses and make some good movies besides just batman.

-SAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-83873340261185723322008-05-23T08:52:00.000-05:002008-05-23T08:52:00.000-05:00"...the third movie did have Cyclops dying in the ..."...the third movie did have Cyclops dying in the first 15 minutes because Halle Berry wanted more screen time."

Damn you, Halle Berry, damn you!!!

I too fear the worst but hope for the best with Marvel's Avengers plans. If it they pull it off, it should be pretty awesome.

Also, it seems they aren't putting all their eggs in the Avengers' basket; Next year, I think (before Iron Man 2 at least) they've got the Wolverine solo film coming out (apparently some smarmy douche bag named "Gambit" is in it too) and it seems like every character to ever grace a Marvel comic page has some kind of project in the works (particularly now that Marvel has its own studio to make them).

If this thing works, how large do you think the collective crap that DC takes in its pants will be?Austin Gortonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14281239771248780430noreply@blogger.com
