Duffy gets points for bringing those statues back into play with a purpose but, yeah, I didn’t buy that. More broadly the scenario felt rather <i>Star *Trek*</i> — deducing the purpose of that ancient machinery, saving the planet’s inhabitants, and then running into a moral quandary when the life of a crewmember is endangered by the planet's edicts. Also: While most of the art is nothing special the composition of the panels on Pg. 11, the middle one in particular, is pretty nice; ditto top of Pg. 17.
