If I had any confidence this notion of afterlife in the Force would ever be referenced again, it would feel like a much bigger deal. <br /><br /><i>even in the days of less decompressed storytelling there were still such things as subplots and story arcs</i><br /><br />Not in this series! <br /><br />I kid, but yes, it is a little strange that Duffy brings back Flint as a secret armored apprentice of Vader and writes him out all in one issue, even while she's already started a longer plotline (one with actual subplots & story arcs) involving another secret armored apprentice of Darth Vader. <br /><br />So yeah, my satisfaction with this issue bringing back Barney & Flint, more or less out of nowhere, even though nothing really gets done with them after this, either, is very much a case of grading on a curve.
