Walt turns in some really nice figure work and panel layouts, though, which I frequently stopped to admire at the very moments when the dialogue was over/under-whelming me. I get disappointed at times in his art when it's particularly loose, but there's some great composition going on here.

Is that specter of Madelyne over the gravesite supposed to just be Scott's conscience or perhaps something more? You can interpret Scott's being made aware by the image that Warren had become suicidal as Scott making the realization himself, I guess, but it comes off as actual received information that prompts Scott to action. [Note: Having read a couple of issues further after writing and before posting this comment, I see further conversations between Scott and hallucinations(?) that other members of X-Factor actually notice, although I still don't know whether it's building to a reveal that someone/something is behind these images or we're simply supposed to interpret Scott as just seriously caught up in his own head.]

Blamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07342343767763035991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-69912112600676776892013-12-10T12:09:28.964-06:002013-12-10T12:09:28.964-06:00@wwk5d: Doesn't it become even more massive la...@wwk5d: Doesn't it become even more massive later on? I suppose it's not entirely clear in this issue, since it's drawn in perspective above the city, but certainly by the time it's flying around knocking down buildings in "Fall of Mutants" it's clearly quite large.
