The one he used to help drive them into bankruptcy?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04879371851313965079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-741081744615476562015-12-05T18:55:04.682-06:002015-12-05T18:55:04.682-06:00I didn’t like the art this issue as much as last, ...I didn’t like the art this issue as much as last, although — while jagged borders get overused — it’s interesting to see how much white space Portacio leaves on the page.Blamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07342343767763035991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-10515013194296337312015-11-21T06:28:36.876-06:002015-11-21T06:28:36.876-06:00Yay! Cyber Ninja "Fun!"

"This issue reveals that Opal's..."

...backstory is way more convoluted than it needs to be.

Sounds like Harras could be a real dick to work with.

Poor Simonson. She really got shafted by Harras. At least here, unlike with New Mutants, she gets to leave on a story with-in the title, instead of her last issue being a part of a crossover.

And its too bad this is her last story. She definitely left her mark on this title as she did on New Mutants, but while she had as you said hits and misses on both titles, I'd say the hits outweighed the misses on this title (unlike New Mutants). In a way, this was as much her title as Uncanny was CC's, no? And given what she had to work with when she started, that fact that she was able to salvage the title as much as she did says quite a bit about her.

I am surprised at Harras giving Portacio so much power on this title. I can understand it his decision with Lee and Liefeld, since in those cases there was an increase in the sales of their respective titles. I guess he just assumed Portacio would be a "hot" artist and would do the same for X-factor. Even if, whatever you might think of him as an artist, as a writer, he is something of a disaster. wwk5dnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-44902232167902810302015-11-20T15:09:36.545-06:002015-11-20T15:09:36.545-06:00I don't think I'd want to work for Bob Har...I don't think I'd want to work for Bob Harras, but I still love most of the comics he edited.Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14580725636327122073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-265587062081620332015-11-20T13:15:40.202-06:002015-11-20T13:15:40.202-06:00I do so wish Louise's phrasing of Bob Harras u...I do so wish Louise's phrasing of Bob Harras using both hands to make Rob Liefeld happy was fully intentional.

... and I kind of wish Bobby Drake staring directly at Hiro's crotch and commenting him having a bunch "that'd do the Hulk proud" wasn't.Teemunoreply@blogger.com
