With Sinister leaving in the previous issue, it sets up a choice for him: rise in the ranks of the regime (to arguably the highest possible position short of Apocalypse himself) or do what's right. It's a "two roads diverge" moment for him that allows his innate goodness to win out, whereas, if he's already a Horseman, it becomes more about him trying to do good *and* be a Horseman, where the thematic impact is "he was too proud, thinking he could pull off both" kind of scenario. Abyss is a horseman! Ugh!<br /><br />I see a lot of wasted potential in the world building of AoA, but I excuse its flaws because the creators were still heavily influenced by T2 and other similar movies of that era.<br /><br />Steve Epting’s art if awesome.
