Fancy, but it's a shame that this is the only real personal life subplot he received. It's a perfect summary of how off-track the show could occasionally get in the later years. I liked the Rodriguez storyline from his final season more, involving the internal politics of the NYPD, even if it did turn into a means of writing him out.G. Once you get her back story it was easier to sympathize with her, but she annoyed me for whatever reason.<br /><br />You're right about the stuff with Rodriguez's ex being dropped abruptly.
