Nicely done. :)

@Blam: I think Shan’s first-person assessment of her heroic career in those panels you show was rather overstated, both in terms of being known as Karma “to the world at large” and “for much of my life”; more like spending a few months on a team of mutants in training that almost nobody knew about.

Heh. Good call. If you allow that anyone knows the New Mutants, Karma is probably one of the last ones anyone would recognize. I’m assuming Chiarello did the colors as well as pencils, because he (like Kevin Nowlan) has a color sense that’s about as distinctive as it is hard to explain.

Everything you say about the “pretty standard ‘main character has amnesia’ plot” holds true, but trope though it may be — perhaps for Wolverine in particular, especially with the added dimension of the reluctant warrior finding peace only to go wild as that peace and the strangers who’ve taken him meet violent ends — I actually enjoyed that first third or so of the issue the most. Although I wondered why the villagers don’t at least mention Wolverine’s outfit, either from a perspective of being familiar with costumed superpeople and suggesting that maybe he was one of them or understandably questioning the strange garb out of ignorance. Since I didn’t even remember where we’d left off last issue and don’t know exactly where the story is headed, it’s hard for me to gauge how off-kilter this issue is in the larger scheme.

I think Shan’s first-person assessment of her heroic career in those panels you show was rather overstated, both in terms of being known as Karma “to the world at large” and “for much of my life”; more like spending a few months on a team of mutants in training that almost nobody knew about.

Blamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07342343767763035991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-3136293614814283062015-07-10T13:22:07.589-05:002015-07-10T13:22:07.589-05:00One of the mercenaries declares it's "Mil...One of the mercenaries declares it's "Miller time" after the battle.

I presume on a Marvel book that means he finds himself surrounded by ninjas.Teemunoreply@blogger.com
