Anyone who hasn't read the novelization/script/this issue/whatever would have no idea why he's firing seemingly at random. But the scene is there - When they get out, Han fires his blaster into the garbage pit before they head out. Supposedly the Dianoga was in the shot but I never saw it. Okay...
// You Kiss Your Sister With That Mouth? //

Okay, I’m entirely on board with this being singled out with its own subheading even if it’s just once in a blue moon(s). The fact that you do give it its own section makes me wonder if we’re in for more dubious Luke/Leia romance in the issues between movie adaptations, though. I vaguely recall some romantic tension in Splinter of the Mind’s Eye, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the comics went down that path as well before Lucas revealed them as siblings.

Good points about the relative strengths and problems of the comics vs. film, a subject I love discussing.

Weird as the panel of Vader zzrakking down Obi-Wan looks here, I always found the (literal) utter lack of flash in the film odd. Vader’s lightsaber goes straight through Obi-Wan and/or where he was a moment ago, Obi-Wan’s robe falling to the ground. It’s almost as if Obi-Wan didn’t just release himself to what was about to happen but vanished of his own power the split-second before Vader’s lightsaber struck him, which I don’t think is supposed to be the implication.

Blamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07342343767763035991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-58603196659311887912015-05-17T00:24:01.657-05:002015-05-17T00:24:01.657-05:00"the "Five Fire Rings of Fornax"&qu..."the "Five Fire Rings of Fornax""

That's alotta alliteration...wwk5dnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-91387551665757265552015-05-16T17:08:02.047-05:002015-05-16T17:08:02.047-05:00Tentacles and sister-girlfriends!
