Plus, Lando wasn’t even part of the Death Star mission. While the droids may not be unique in terms of their models, together and especially in the company of a Wookie it just feels like their little combo would stand out — even if Leia’s, Luke’s, and Lando’s faces weren’t specifically recognizable, as video (digital, tape, or otherwise) appears not to have been a part of Empire technology. Luke pulls that Jedi mind trick and Vader later senses Luke’s presence but the Stormtroopers’ cloning and/or training process apparently breeds obedience at the expense of independent thought so thoroughly that none of them even possess the initiative to make simple deductions.

// David Michelinie (known for his later work as the writer on Amazing Spider-Man when Todd McFarlane came aboard) //

Huh. I guess so, but I associate Michelinie so strongly with Iron Man. Part of that’s generational, maybe, and part my near-total lack of interest in McFarlane.

// a secret cabal of officers within the Empire determined to remove Darth Vader from power //

Neat idea that makes so much sense.

Blamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07342343767763035991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-59123305247375217942016-11-09T18:05:30.791-06:002016-11-09T18:05:30.791-06:00And at last the next great creative team is onboar...And at last the next great creative team is onboard. Got this issue fresh off the LCS stands as a kid and it stands in my memory like it's bookmarked--love that end scene and of course that awesome splash of The Tarkin. It's a shame these are considered Legends since I think DM-WS-TP team's stuff compares well to the current Marvel series.Erik J Kreffelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16600501989135593427noreply@blogger.com
