I had no idea it was based on a comic book. Flash forward to a couple years ago and I'm reading through the Star Wars Omnibus that collects the Marvel series and I came upon this story. My mind was blown. It’s a space station. 8^) Seriously, though: Goodwin makes clear that it’s entirely man-made (or man/droid-made, in Kligson’s case); “Kligson’s Moon” is, albeit more poetically, just a coinage like “Droid World”.

// Unfortunately, Infantino's art, which I've warmed up to considerably, is a let down here, as both the central characters are often so off-model it's distracting //

I’m going to hypothesize that, for whatever reason, Infantino was rushed on this issue, because Day’s inking/finishing is much more apparent in some places than others and suggests to me that he was working from pencils of varying detail. Just look at the last two pages in contrast: The linework and blacks on C-3PO on Pg. 21 are considerably unlike Infantino’s style, while the difference between Luke’s photorealistic face in the last panel there and the standard Infantino face in the second panel of Pg. 22 is crazy.

Blamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07342343767763035991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7266470995513648978.post-9684005010033252552016-09-13T14:44:24.057-05:002016-09-13T14:44:24.057-05:00Nope, I definitely see it too.
