Along the way, we'll see the return of the Acolytes and John Romita Jr. in Uncanny X-Men, the departures of Mark Texeira from Wolverine and Peter David from X-Factor, and more solid work from Greg Capullo in X-Force and Alan Davis in Excalibur!

  1. Man, I just cannot get into JRjr's art during this period and I tend to love JRjr. I liked it better after this once he started his run on Spider-Man at the end of the Clone Saga, but the Uncanny art is too cluttered for me. There are still occasional bright spots. I think the coloring on the title hurt it as well. It always seemed a little washed out to me.

    1. I actually like this era of Romita better than his previous UNCANNY run, but it doesn't do much for me either. It's all the blockiness that mainly bugs me, along with his random use of sideways double page spreads.

I'm with you on his return to Spider-Man, though. I think he did the best work of his career on PETER PARKER, SPIDER-MAN circa 1996-1998 or so.
